"A little mind blowing..."

"So much has changed in my life since reiki level 1. It’s a little mind blowing to look back to what was essentially only a few months ago and reflect on how much my life has changed in this short amount of time. 

I decided to take Reiki 1 on a bit of a whim. I’d known a couple of people throughout my life who were reiki practitioners, and while I found the practice intriguing, I had never considered it for myself. One of the people had even given me information about taking a Reiki class, and I dismissed it without even considering it. When I saw information about Steven’s class, I stopped and asked myself “Why NOT me?” And then I signed up. 

Steven has been a wonderful guide and teacher for me. He encourages us to explore our own depths and see how the medicine of Reiki might expand each of us personally. I recall during our first class that he said that reiki is a carrier oil for your other gifts. That idea both resonated with and excited me. And I have found it to be profoundly true. 

After Reiki 1, I told Steven that I felt that reiki had really helped to bring my intuition online. However, after spending the last month with my Reiki 2 energetic upgrade, I amend that statement. Reiki has allowed me to develop trust in my intuition, as the intuition was always there, but my doubt was louder than it was. Reiki has given me the space and perhaps even the permission to hear the voice of my intuition clearer, and to believe it. Additionally, it’s grown my confidence to act, to follow it, even when it doesn’t appear to make logical sense to anyone else. And as I’ve grown more steady in this relationship with my intuition, it has started showing me things I didn’t know I could access. The gift continues to unfold in ways that are beautiful and enriching to my budding reiki practice as well as my everyday life. 

Steven is a perfect mix of challenging and encouraging. He gives me space to explore my own framework, and also suggests tools and new concepts that expand and unleash my viewpoints. He is highly knowledgeable, and also willing to learn from his students. He brings reverence and spirituality to his classes, as well as a healthy dose of laughter and humor. He allows his vulnerability to shine through in the most beautiful way. He has a freeness to the way he conducts himself and his classes, and that is perfect for the way I learn: encouragement to explore without limitations.
